A. All of Pacifiques products contain 100% natural active ingredients Both Pacifiques Self-tanning and Professional tanning products contain NO parebens or alcohols. Our specially formulated products are enriched with vitamins to ensure your skin is hydrated All of our products contain 100% natural active ingredients and are NOT tested on animals.
Q. Do your products work with really pale skin tones?
A. Pacifiques self-tan works with the majority of skin tones as our active ingredients adjust to suit your individual skin pigmentation.
Q. How dark do Pacifiques self-tan products make you compared to other self-tan brands?
A. Pacifiques self-tan products are designed for you to go as dark as you want to. Once applied, your colour will develop in about 8 hours. After the first application if you would like a darker tan, just re-apply a second application.
Q. Will Pacifiques self-tan go streaky?
A. Pacifique tanning mousse and tanning mist have a guide colour that will help you apply an even streak free application. Our tan extending moisturiser has a lovely creamy smooth consistency and will not streak if applied correctly. Remember any self-tan product will streak if not applied evenly and with care. Take your time and get it right first time for a streak free application.
Q. How long do I need to wait before I dress after an application of Pacifiques self tan?
A. Although Pacifiques tanning products dry very quickly and are non-sticky it’s a good idea to wait for 5 to 10 minutes before getting dressed. Try to avoid tight fitting clothes or shoes until your tan has fully developed, bra straps can rub your tan off at this stage so opt for either a strapless version or loosen them to avoid this.
Q. How long will my tan last?
A. Everyone’s skin is different, however with the proper care your tan will last between 4 and 7 days
Q. Do I need to buy a different product for my face?
A. Pacifiques tanning mousse and mist work equally well on the face as they do on the rest of your body.
Q. Do I need to exfoliate before tanning?
A. By exfoliating you will remove all the top layers of dead skin that would otherwise flake off naturally and unevenly, meaning your new tan will come off as well. Through not exfoliating prior to applying any self-tanning product, the uneven natural shedding of your dead skin cells leads to a patchy look which is easily avoided by exfoliating first.
Q. I have an allergic reaction to most fake tan products, they make me sore and itchy. Will your products cause the same reaction?
A. Some people have a reaction to dihydroxyacetone (DHA) which is used in ALL self-tan brands on the market today.Pacifiques products contain 100% natural active ingredients which means they are kind to your skin. If you have had bad experiences in the past, we would recommend using Pacifiques tanning mist rather than mousse as this has a slightly lighter coverage, however if it is the DHA you are allergic to all self tans will cause an allergic reaction. We recommend you do a patch test first to check for any reactions
Q. Can Pacifique self tan be used during pregnancy?
A. According to the NHS, although there are no known dangers of using tanning products during pregnancy, they can sometimes cause an allergic reaction. If you wish to use our products during pregnancy you MUST consult your GP first.
Q. Will Pacifiques products discolour may hands?
A. Yes they can. Provided your hands are washed thoroughly with soap and water immediately following application your hands should not be stained.
